In June 2006 I began fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer research a few weeks after my mom was diagnosed with this aggressive disease.
I decided to do this by running half marathons to raise awareness and money for this disease. Since then I have raised over $21, 000 and have run the Maine Half Marathon in October 2006 and the Miami Half Marathon in January 2007.
I am currently searching for my next challenge and continue to fundraise and speak out for those living with this disease and their families and friends.
My mom passed away 9 months after her diagnosis in March 2007. I run in her honor and with her beside me in spirit.

My Mom was just diagnosed about 3wks ago and it’s been a roller coaster. One min. she seems better..then later that evening she seems much worse. of course no one can say for sure but I’ve heard weeks to months. She’s 78 so she’s had a good life however…I’m so not ready for her to go and if there is ANYTHING you may know of to help PLEASE let me know. Thanks, Nanette
