For Deadheads Only

I was fifteen or sixteen when I realized these jambands I was liking had songs that weren’t on their albums. Songs that were only played at concerts. That pretty much blew my mind. That and the length of Bob Weir’s shorts.

Anyway this was the song that first did it. It also amazed me that men would sing about women being smarter. Sensitive hippie guys. So gentle, so tender, so ripe with BO.

Somehow my dead head ex-boyfriend failed to introduce his feminist girlfriend to this song. A patriarchal conspiracy, no doubt.

They outed us guys. I would call them traitors, but I’ll settle for calling them empowered hippies.

Attetion all Deadheads this is for you, your moment of zen is on it’s way. I work at a tv production studio where we are developing a traveling reality show with Mickey Hart. Before you drop your bog and have to clean up all that smelly bog water let me put your minds at ease. It is a reality show, but its about seeing the America the way the Dead saw it during there 1983 tour. It will have hidden gems that a rarely shown, plus Mickey hanging out with celebraty and regular Deadheads. What I need is any statistics on Deadheads, how many, age, income where you shop, politics. At first the answers may seem obvious but thats not the case. The Dead have been around along time and there audence has changed. We are trying to create a show that you will enjoy, please help!! We are not trying to sell you anything just trying to make great tv. Peace. DKENNETHCHAMBERS@GMAIL.COM please reply with any info you think might help.
