I hesitate to post personal things on my blog. But since I already made my mother’s battle with cancer a public thing, I guess it is okay for the end of her battle to be public as well. My mom passed away this past weekend.
That’s about all I feel like saying, but please know I am okay, as well as not okay. But I think that’s okay, too.

If you are inclined to do so, donations can be made in her honor (her name is Martha Spencer) to the Hopes Program, Massachusetts General Hospital, Development Office, 165 Cambridge St., Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114.

Many people have given me and my family a lot of encouragement and support during this time, and I appreciate it. It has been invaluable. Thank you.

I’m also a stranger-reader, but I have been following this for a bit. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year, and it’s hard to understand the struggle until you are actually faced with it. I’m very sorry for you loss.

    Thank you again!

Caitlyn, I am sending you some strength-y vibes. You must be one tough lady.

Haha thanks, but no tougher than you. You stay funny even in hard times, and that’s what it’s all about.

My family and friends keep me laughing, and that’s what keeps me going. As do wonderful celeb kibble & bits shots.
